Living Life To The Full

What’s more important than living? Living life to the full, of course! Now, lifestyle choice is an entirely personal and individual preference, but for everyone there are two decisive factors to getting the most out of life: maintaining good health, and doing what you enjoy. When someone consistently achieves these two goals you could say that they have almost everything required for a perfect, happy life. Naturally, the game of love may also come into it, but we won’t be going there today.

So, leaving affairs of the heart aside, if you have good health and enjoy your work, what more could you ask for? But sometimes it takes real bravery to make a radical change in life and set off in search of happiness. Well, that is precisely what Crystal Lowery was able to do, and she is more than happy about it.
There is an old refrain that suggests that if you never do anything different, you should never expect anything different to happen. In other words, if you never change what you do, why should you expect any change in your fortunes?
Only the brave are able to break new ground by being active and creative. Crystal Lowery is a brave young woman and when she takes on a project she sees it through to the end, never hesitating to through herself in at the deep end if her heart and instinct tell her it is the right thing to do. This girl discovered fitness as a concept and way of life so passionately that she gave up a secure, well-paid job in a large company to begin the adventure of living off her hobby and passion, and she doesn’t regret it one bit.
“Over the last four years I have experienced a lot f personal growth and I have learnt that life has to be fun to be worth living. Since I quit my job as director of human resources in a large company to start the adventure of being a personal trainer I have enjoyed every single day of my life. Now I have a positive impact on others and… what better reward could I ask for?”
There it is… One day four years ago Crystal decided that although her job was stable and secure she was getting nothing out of it and, as life is too short not to enjoy each day that passes, she would try to make a living out of her true hobby and passion: fitness, not just as a sport or physical activity but also as a general way of living a healthy life. And those have been the four best years of her life, so far.
Crystal was born in San Diego, California on November 12th, 1974 and has two brothers, Matt and Thomas, and a sister named Summer. Throughout her school and college days Crystal did a lot of sport, including gymnastics, dance, football, basketball, softball and cheerleading, but it was her time with the weights that had most impact on this girl.
“I started weight training at 17 when I was in college. I had always done sport and when I graduated from high school my mother gave me a gym membership. I had never been in one and I had no idea what to do, but I signed up for weight training classes and I loved it. Right away I was hooked, and I still am.”
The notion of striving against oneself with weights in order to improve is something that suits Crystal’s very nature, because she loves a challenge more than anything.
“I am a naturally competitive athlete and I approach life as a game, so I am always challenging myself and competing with myself to get better each day.”
This is the pure essence of fitness as a discipline and a concept of mental and physical improvement: training each day to surpass your own limitations.
