-The year of Dexter “The Blade” Jackson!!
-Lee Priest back in business!
-Dennis Wolf unstoppable!
-Muscle Beach reality show!
Every bodybuilder has a moment in his or her career when everything comes together and they hit that perfect physique condition. For Dexter Jackson that moment is NOW! What a spring season for Dexter “the Blade” Jackson it has been so far. He shocked the bodybuilding world when he took three out of three contests this spring. Dexter seems to win everything he enters right now, topping his Arnold Classic win with the Australian Pro show victory a week later on March 8th just to once again win at the New Zealand Pro show the following weekend on March 15th. We all know how insanely difficult it is to keep your peak condition just for a few days and keeping that top form for three weeks is nearly impossible, but Dexter Jackson has proved it can be done!! He now has barely six months to recover, pump up and diet down again for the Mr. Olympia on September 27th. If he gets it right one more time this year, he is looking at a secure top four placing at the Mr. O.
Dennis Wolf is one of the guys Dexter Jackson needs to be worried about for the next six months. Dennis has the size but Dexter holds the powerful weapon of a sickeningly shredded physique that is hard to beat on a good day. The battle for the Mr. Olympia is coming down to Jay Cutler, if he comes in cut and tight, Dennis Wolf, with the same remarks as Jay, Dexter Jackson, and last but not least Phil Heath, who is more in Dexter Jackson’s league physique wise. The suspense is already on!!
Dexter Jackson is harvesting the fruits of his labour in terms of sponsorship contracts. When his long term Muscular Development contract came to an end Dexter shocked the world again by signing with Weider Publications right away. Between his monthly sponsor check from Muscletech and now with Weider Publications in his corner he will be able to relax and prepare for the Olympia without any financial headaches. Smart move Dex!!
Lee Priest is also rearranging his business contracts, as he is trying to make it back into the IFBB after his suspension some time ago. Lee has to be reinstated into the IFBB and if that happens he will be allowed to compete at the Atlantic Pro this year. The Atlantic show will also be Lee’s chance to get a top three placing and get his ticket to the Olympia this year. Lee also recently signed a sponsorship contract with famous Muscular Development. Seems he has it all planned out! Good for him!
Jay Cutler really needs to watch is back now that Dexter is on a roll coming in shredded to the bone. One of Jay’s biggest problems the last couple of years seems to be hitting his peak for the competition day. Last year at the Olympia he was off and should not have won, but the judges felt he had earned the win even when not in top shape. Now, with guys like Dexter and Dennis Wolf breathing down his neck, he can’t afford to make any mistakes and not hit the peak condition or he will lose his title. This could be the year when bodybuilding history takes a new direction going for smaller, shredded physiques instead of monsters with extended guts for the top five placings.
